Which Movie Mom Are You?
So you might not be a psychiatrist...and you most definitely haven't switched bodies with your kids (right?), but when it comes to parenting, you've got a lot in common with hardworking Tess Coleman. You're passionate and driven about your family and your career, and you do everything in your power to make sure that your family has it all.
Even when you're juggling a million responsibilities, you take most things you do very seriously. But you can certainly find that kid inside and cut loose when you need to. You just have to remind yourself every once in a while that doing cartwheels in the backyard can be just as educational as homework. Give it a whirl!

I got this from Tiffany's blog. It's pretty funny.

Enjoying a warm day!
I decided to take advantage of the warm day and pressure wash my back patio. We borrowed the washer from my brother who usually does the job for me. Holy cow, that thing had a kick to it. My brother could hardly take the picture because he was laughing at me. Once I got the hang of it, it wasn't that bad. I figure I got a upper body work out while I worked on my tan. Win Win situation.
After I finished the patio, we went over to Gingers to swim. The water was pretty cold, but as usual, Haley was willing to jump right in. Olivia wasn't too sure, and Morgan parked her towel next to mine to work on her tan.

Cute Story
I copied this story from Becca Laings blog. I thought it was very funny.
THE NEXT SURVIVOR TELEVISION SERIES
THE NEXT SURVIVOR TELEVISION SERIES
Six married men will be dropped on an island with one car and 3 kids each for six weeks.
Each kid will play two sports and either take music or dance classes.
There is no fast food.
Each man must take care of his 3 kids; keep his assigned house clean, correct all homework, complete science projects, cook, do laundry, and pay a list of "pretend" bills with not enough money.
In addition, each man will have to budget in money for groceries each week.
Each man must remember the birthdays of all their friends and relatives, and send cards out on time.
Each man must also take each child to a doctor's appointment, a dentist appointment and a haircut appointment . He must make one unscheduled and inconvenient visit per child to the Urgent Care (weekend, evening, on a holiday or right when they're about to leave for vacation). He must also make cookies or cupcakes for a social function.
Each man will be responsible for decorating his own assigned house, planting flowers outside and keeping it presentable at all times.
The men will only have access to television when the kids are asleep and all chores are done.
Each father will be required to know all of the words to every song that comes on TV and the name of each and every character on cartoons.
Each man will have to make an Indian hut model with six toothpicks, a tortilla and one marker; and get a 4 year old to eat a serving of peas.
Each man must adorn himself with jewelry, wear uncomfortable yet stylish shoes, keep their nails polished and eyebrows groomed. The men must try to get through each day without snot, spit-up or barf on their clothing.
During one of the six weeks, the men will have to endure severe abdominal cramps, back aches, and have extreme, unexplained mood swings but never once complain or slow down from other duties. They must try to explain what a tampon is for when the 6-yr old boy finds it in the purse.
They must attend weekly school meetings, church, and find time at least once to spend the afternoon at the park or a similar setting.
He will need to read a book to the children each night without falling asleep, and then feed them, dress them, brush their teeth and comb their hair each morning by 7:00. They must leave the home with no food on their face or clothes.
A test will be given at the end of the six weeks, and each father will be required to know all of the following information: each child's birthday, height, weight, shoe size, clothes size and doctor's name. Also the child's weight at birth, length, time of birth, and length of labor, each child's favorite colour, middle name, favorite snack, favorite song, favorite drink, favorite toy, biggest fear and what they want to be when they grow up.
They must clean up after their sick children at 2:00 a.m. and then spend the remainder of the day tending to that child and waiting on them hand and foot until they are better.
They must have a loving, age appropriate reply to, "You're not the boss of me".
The kids vote them off the island based on performance.
The last man wins only if...he still has enough energy to be intimate with his spouse at a moment's notice.

What Awesome Girls!!
Last week, I attended the awards ceremony at the girls school. Haley got the Principals Honor Roll for her straight A's, and Morgan got the citizenship award. We are so proud of our girls! To celebrate, we went to Baskin Robbins for Family Home Evening dessert tonight.

Olivia loves to pose for pictures. I love her big blues in this one. I totally want to take some photography classes. I have so many questions about how to take certain pics . Hopefully soon I'll find a good class.
The girls were so excited to go into the ice scream shop. I had to snap this picture. Way funny!
Haley, Olivia, and Me
Chris and Morgan. I love their matching eyes. Morgan is a spitting image of Chris. I sure love those two!
Haley and Liv were licking each others cones. They are so cute together. Haley is a great oldest sister. She is always concerned about her little sisters, and takes good care of them. She is also a very good example for them.Wednesday, April 16, 2008
4 weeks!! 40 pounds!!!
Can you believe that Chris has lost about 40 pounds already? I think we need to go shopping this weekend. He hardly has anything left to wear that isn't too big on him.
Just a reminder of Chris before.
On a funny note, Before Chris had the surgery, we explained it in simple terms to the girls. All of them were a little upset, and said they didn't want Chris to have surgery. We assumed they were afraid of him not being ok. Haley and Morgan told us they didn't want him to have it because they were worried about losing their soft pillow to snuggle up to. They were referring to Chris's stomach. We of course told them that a healthy dad was way better than a soft tummy to lay on!

Sleeping Beauty :)
I asked Olivia to go pick up her toys in her room, and this is what I found a few minutes later. How cute is that?
Notice the stuffed doll by her face. Olivia was my only child that didn't take a pacifier. All my girls had a baby like this, but Olivia would take the bow, place it by her nose, and make a sucking motion as if she had a pacifier. It was very cute. She still sleeps with her baby, and likes to snuggle up to it. She may be almost 4, but she's still my baby.

Chris update
Here's my man 3 weeks out and 30 pounds less. I constantly do a double take when I look at him. He looks so good, I'm so happy for him!
By the way, notice the cool watch necklace? The band broke on his watch months ago. He is surprisingly picky about his watches, and doesn't want to buy a new one, and is having a hard time finding a new band for this watch. So in true Chris fashion, he made a nerdy necklace out of his watch:) Oh well, that's my man, and I love him!!

Just for fun
This is my brothers son Logan. I watch him a lot, so I sometimes refer to him as my fourth child. Last weekend Gabe and Marlene had a wedding to go to , so Logan spent the weekend at my house. On Sunday, I was doing all my girls hair, and I did Logan's hair too. I'm not used to doing boy hairdos, but I thought he looked very handsome. If you know Logan, you know that he is a total ham. He's like a child car salesman, he can convince you of almost anything. He's very fun to have around, and we love our fourth child.
On Saturday, I found my girls like this. How cute is that. My girls love to read, so it's not uncommon to find them reading, but I thought it was cute that they were together in Haley's room not talking or playing, just silently reading to themselves.
Happy Birthday to my wonderful step mom Nedra on March 30th. We had a delicious dinner at Krista's house. We love Nedra so much!!
