Another Master-full evening :)

Our friends Jasen and Jennifer Master had an appointment tonight and Hannah and Michael came over to hang out with the girls. The kids all had a blast and got along great.

The girls were jumping on the trampoline for a long time and got tired, so they decided to lay down and take a rest.Morgan decided to join them for the silly face picture.

What do you do when Dad's gone?

First you miss him tons and tons!
Then...

You play Light Bright.

You make jam and bread.

You let Morgan play with your camera. :)
And last, you have a sleep over with your sisters.

Journal moment

OK, so After church the girls and I made some dinner and then I decided to get some bread started. Haley had been chattering the whole way home and all through dinner and into me trying to make bread. I was trying very hard to be good and listen to her stories and be an involved mother. I finally turned to her and told her (very nicely) that I needed her to take a break and be quiet for just a minute so I could concentrate on my recipe.....Well, she was quiet for about 3 seconds and continues right on into the story. BTW, Haley thinks she is so much like Chris. She has no idea how similar she is to me. I vividly remember my parents asking me if I would just shut up for a minute when I was little. It may be hard for you all to believe, but I was a total motor mouth when I was a little girl. ;)
Times like this I totally miss Chris. I love to listen and chat it up with my girlies, but Chris is the king of that. He is soooo good at just listening to them and he is so interested in the things they care about. I am so grateful that my girls have the blessing of having such a wonderful dad just like I did. You know the old saying that women often marry men like their father. Well, we all can agree that Chris and my dad are VERY different! But on this one thing they are similar. I had and still have a great relationship with my dad. I know its because he took the time to listen to me and be there for me. My dad was so good at making all his kids feel like they were the favorite.......anyway, enough rambling.....not that I'm a chatter box or anything. ;)

All the Cousins together

The Man Cruise

Paul and Chris left on a weekend Cruise this morning. The story goes...Paul's work was sending everyone on the cruise, and since Jen, Krista and I had just gone to Hawaii, Krista didn't want to have to leave her kids again, so Paul asked Chris if he wanted to go. Paul and Chris have always been great friends from the moment Paul married Krista. They will have a blast together. I'm so excited for Chris to have a little vacation for himself. He is always so wonderful and supportive when I go somewhere, and he works so hard and really deserves a little fun. I will miss him for sure though. (I will enjoy having the computer all to myself though. Just think of all the projects I can accomplish this weekend.)

More fun

Dad and Nedra brought dinner over, and the whole gang came to my house. I love having my family over, But I am EXHAUSTED!! The cousins just had so much fun together. Haley Kelsey and Matt, the 3 oldest of the cousins were being so silly and singing this song to Grandpa. (Dad didn't think it was so funny, and he decided to finish the song for them). It was very fun to see them together. Kelsey is in Utah and Matt is in Sacramento, so Haley doesn't get to see them as often as she would like. It seems like no matter how long it's been since they've seen each other, they do just pick up where they left off. They are all the best of friends.

ALL 16 Cousins are here!

Temple trip

Just another wonderful day

Lisanne and Kayla were also matching. We love to look at them. They are cousins, but total opposites in their coloring. They are both sooo beautiful!

After the movie we were all heading back to Krista's for lunch. I drove past dad's office at Cargo Bay and decided to skip lunch and take a u turn. I had been wanting to stop by and see his office for a while. The girls had fun visiting Grandpa. I have such a great dad. I honestly don't know what I would do with out him! I love him!!!!

Being Miserable

Just a quick journaling moment.
I love to read. I usually keep books and Ensigns in the car to read while the girls are in gymnastics or piano etc. While the girls were at piano this morning, I was reading in a little book by John Bytheway. He's one of my favorites. The book is called, "How to be totally miserable" It's a funny little book making fun of what to do so you wont be happy. Anyway, there was a great quote I found that really made me think. (I love those kind)

It is difficult to make a man miserable while he feels he is worthy of himself and claims kindred to the great God who made him.
- Abraham Lincoln

Isn't that so true. It's hard to be miserable when we realize who we came from. :)

Sunday Hair

Olivia of my 3 girls is the one who loves to have her hair done. She will stand in the mirror and just admire herself. She is definitely a prissy girlie girl! She loves to have her nails painted, she loves a new outfit. She loves to shop with me. I was a major tomboy growing up. I remember Jen forcing me to do my hair. I didn't enjoy prissing up I think until adulthood. Now I feel like I can relate to all my girls. I love Haley for her independence and not wanting to always have her hair done. I remember that myself. I love Morgans in between. She loves prissing up sometimes and others wants none of it, and I love Olivia ALWAYS wanting to be prissy. I've got the best of all. How did I get so lucky to be able to raise 3 wonderful daughters?

For Sunday dinner, we went to Krista's. She made the YUMMIEST chicken. Krista is an excellent cook! After dinner, I dropped the girls off at home for Chris to take over, and Jen, Krista, myself, and our friend Linda met over at Dad and Nedra's to make more hair clips and watch a movie. I am shocked to admit I didn't take any pictures of the entire evening. Oh well, it still didn't keep me from blogging about it. :)
