I love Mothers Day. Chris let me sleep in while he took care of the girls. Then I was brought my breakfast in bed. Church was great. The youth speakers were so sweet. One thing that is so great about serving in the Pioneer Park ward is how much we learn from the Hmong culture. Hmong kids over all are extremely respectful. It was wonderful to hear Chameng and Yer speak about their mothers. As Bishop Farley was concluding the meeting, he was getting ready to announce who was saying the benediction, and he looked at me. (we were sitting in the front right under the podium) Then he looks at Chris and asks him if he would say the closing prayer. Then he says, "I was going to ask Sister Hawkins, but since it's Mothers day, I asked Brother Hawkins instead" Ha Ha. I love Mothers Day! Really though, I would have been happy to give the prayer.
After church, we headed over to my dads for a delicious dinner and a fun time with family.
