25 things

This is my 25 things about me from my face book.

1. Surprisingly, It's way intimidating for me to write 25 things about myself. I don't think I'm all that interesting. I'd rather have Krista write this for me. She had some great ideas that she told me on our slog ( slow jog..Krista's definition of what we did on Saturday morning).
2. I met my honey when I was 17...we wont say how old he was....;)...ok so he was 24. LOl
3. I married my honey when I was 18.
4. I always always always envisioned myself being a mom to a bunch of boys. I was a major tomboy growing up... I absolutely LOVE being a mom to 3 girls though, and I couldn't imagine it any other way now.
4. I love doing my girlies hair, making hair bows, dressing them, all of it.
5. I think my Z family is the coolest and the best there is.
6. I think I am better looking now than I was 10 years ago.
7. I almost like exercising. Don't get me wrong, I love the high I feel afterward, but if there was another way to keep the weight off (that was healthy) I would so sleep in.
8. I go to the gym usually at least 3 times a week at 4:45 in the morning. For me, its then or never really.
9. I have always loved being crafty.
10. In the last year, I learned to digi scrap and became completely addicted to it!
11. I have also realized that I am WAY interested in photography. Every aspect of it really.
12. I love to learn new things.
13. I think I make friends pretty easily.
14. I look up to my dad more than anyone else. In my book he is AMAZING! Pretty much anything he says is the word to me.
15. To me, being a mother is the most important job I could have. I am so extremely grateful to have the opportunity to be home with them as much as I do.
16. I admire Chris for how hard he works to support our family. I am very grateful for him. He is a awesome dad and husband.
17. Unlike Chris, I am not a geek! ;) LOL Totally kidding. I think I'm a geek too, but definitely not in the same way that he is. :)
18. I have a BIG zambootie and I'm DANG proud of it. hahaha
19. My family always teases me about having a small mouth and nose, Yet they say I'm the nosiest and that I don't know how to shut up. yeah,,they don't know what they're talking about! ;)
20. I'm not afraid of hard work. I like it actually. If there's something I want, I'm not afraid to work for it.
21. My Favorite color has been green for as long as I can remember.
22. Krista say's I'm so sweet because I can eat candy and junk non stop. A diet Pepsi and a cookie is a common breakfast ....or lunch ...or dinner for me. LOL
23. I play dirty!! Play sports or a game with me and you'll know what I mean. ;)
24. I'm the middle child of seven kids.
25. I think my greatest joy in life comes from watching my children grow and develop their talents, and gain testimonies of the savior.

And here is Chris's 25 things that he wrote about him self.

1. I used to be a very impulsive human being, often doing things without thinking about consequences. As a result, I was a very frequent visitor to hospitals & doctor offices. Not to mention being kicked out of restaurants or dance clubs for behavior issues.
2. While I do not consider myself all that lucky in most things, I never stop marveling at how freaking lucky I was to meet & then marry Gwen. I firmly believe that if this life was a game, I must have gathered all my luck points & placed them on spouse choice. Can't really say the same for her though (see below).
3. I am a very open roll playing game freak. Of course my first choice is D&D, but I happen to like Robotech, Battletech, Champions, & Rifts. Geek pride swelling here.
4. For the past 16 years, I have been involved with a roll playing group that meets once a week to play. The only thing that has kept me from saying 19 years is that I took a 2 year break to go on a mission. So anyone that pities my wife for choosing me, remember that she walked into this relationship with eyes wide open. After all, we've been married for 15 years come August of 09.
5. If I had a choice, I would choose to spend the rest of my days in my first home town, San Francisco. I love the city, despite the liberal outlook that is there. To me, the place is the friendliest big city on earth. Even the street bums are friendly. I know this because I sang with some of them the last time I visited the city. IT WAS GREAT!!!
6. I love the look of hippies. Tie-dye shirts, bandannas, home made necklaces, the music.....I love it all. Well, all except the drugs. I have so little control of myself in the first place, I hardly need the assist. Besides, I had a bad accidental experience once (that's a story in itself)
7. I happen to be a shiny happy person nearly every day (except for mornings....mornings SUCK). I only know this because my students ask me why I always smile when they line up. What can I say, it's good to be alive (except for mornings....I weep every time the alarm goes off).
8. I worry that I might kill myself.....death.... by accident. Yep, I am infinitely accident prone. I have broken my nose 3 times, torn ligaments on left leg & right elbow, busted heel, broken toes, pretty bad road burned skin on left arm, spranged ankle, well over 150 stitches used on my body, & I don't play sports at all. Imagine if I did play like an athlete. I'd be dead or crippled.....more than I am now =D
9. I love to watch sports with action. Give me football, hockey, baseball, UFC, boxing, basketball, and especially midget wrestling. I mean, c'mon? Who doesn't like midget wrestling?
10. I love to paint miniatures which mostly works out for our D&D night. I've even dedicated a room for all the miniatures I've painted. It is the Dungeon. Most of my non-gaming friends tease me about having a doll room, but they're just JEALOUS!!!
11. While I might not be the best example, I do have a strong testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The church has made me a better person than I otherwise would have been. Without the church, I would, more than likely, be in jail now. I will forever be grateful for my wonderful life.
12. I have 3 girls who look up to me for advise & wisdom (quit laughing!!!!!). Yeah, I am a little worried about that, but I do my best to live up to their expectations (including faking some points of wisdom). Like I've said before, I am not always the best example *shoulders shrugging*
13. I can't wait for my kids to be teenagers. Then I will actually begin understanding them (not to mention being able to really sleep in on Saturdays). What other parent do you know that says this, huh?
14. I am allergic to chocolate in a very big way. Most people who hear this for the first time pity me. But then again, I have only had 5 cavities in my entire life. Trust me, I feel much more sorry for anyone that has to visit the torture chamber....errrrr.....dent
ist than those who feel sorry for me cuz I can't eat the cavity maker.
15. I happen to love my job. I love history & I love teaching. I truly believe that teaching helps keeps me young at heart, which I think is a very good thing.
16. Speaking of young at heart, I still collect comics and have used my side of the garage to keep my collection displayed. To my wife's dismay, my kids have followed my lead. Already I'm a wonderful example.
17. I love the fact that I am a halfbreed Mexican. It always catches people off guard when I say that I'm a halfbreed & proud of it.
18. Most game geeks have gotten hooked on World of Warcraft. Not me!!! I have gotten hooked on a child's game called Maple Story. I love that game so much that my computer wallpaper is Maple Story & I have a network of friends I have actually never met in person, nor plan on meeting in person....ever.
19. While most of my blood family is political, I am not. I have seen what has happened to passionate people on both sides of the political spectrum. They are angry & frustrated all the time.....that just smacks of effort wasted. I got better things to do (like play some Maple Story or make silly lists).
20. I tend not to care what people think of me. While I have no apologies for that (heck, I'm actually proud of that trait of mine), it has gotten me in trouble from time to time.
21. While most people whine & complain about the in laws, I happen to love most of my in laws (no need to get into who I don't get along with). I actually count some of my in laws as my closest friends. Told ya I scored on the wife choice.
22. Reading to me is just as fun as watching a movie, maybe even more so. And yes, I lean greatly towards sci-fi & fantasy. Actually, it's all sci-fi & fantasy.
23. I have grown to love & respect the Hmong population. Having been with them for the past 2 1/2 years, I have never felt more accepted as I am with them. I will forever love my Hmong brothers & sisters (hope this gets me more of their spicy food-it has good kick).
24. I love to go fishing. If only I were any good at fishing. That is why I go as often as I can with my Hmong brothers (let's hope they don't lose patience with me)
25. Some people say that they would love to meet President Obama or Rush Limbaugh. Not me......I want to meet Jim Rome! I love his sports takes & agree with him most of the time. I guess that makes me a clone.
