Haley's birthday pages

Today has been a very productive day! It feels good to get these pages done. I really love digi scrap booking and learning new things. I'm lucky to have friends who are willing to teach me.

Hair cut

I decided to post these pictures because I find it funny how much Chris hates getting a hair cut. I've cut Chris's hair our entire marriage. I'm no pro, but I seem to get the job done. Chris just doesn't enjoy it. It's not that he wants to go somewhere else and have it done, he just hates being stuck somewhere I guess. Anyway, I thought it was funny. I think he looks very nice with a hair cut. I love a clean cut man!

Gymnastics

My girls love Gymnastics. Morgan and Olivia have so much fun on this swinging thing. Their screams are priceless!

Olivia gets a piggy back ride from Nicole every week. Nicole is one of my girls best friends. They have play dates at each others houses every week.

Free Movies

Most of you out there know about the free summer movies, but for those of you who don't, click here http://www.regmovies.com/nowshowing/familyfilmfestivalschedule.aspx and you can enter your state, and find which theaters near you are showing the movies, and you can get the schedule. My girls love to go.

Tuesday Weigh in

It's been 3 months and Chris has lost 69 pounds! Is that even possible?!?! Chris continues to feel better and better. This summer he plans to hit the gym with me. I'd like to see him try to keep up with me. ;o) I look forward to working out with him. (and kicking his butt)
Oh, He's shaperoning the Wild Water field trip today, thus the tie die. blah!! After almost 14 years married to him, I still laugh at his shirts! :)

Happy Birthday Ginger!

Ginger is our sweet neighbor. We share a back yard fence with her. Over the last few years, Ginger has watched my girls while I work and has truly become a member of our family. Before her husband Bud passed away, he built a gate between our yards so we could pass through easily. Today Ginger and her daughter invited us over to celebrate her 73rd birthday!! We just love Ginger! She has a very witty personality and doesn't take junk from anyone. We are so blessed to have her as our neighbor. This is Sandy and Ty Kharazi. They lived next door to Ginger for years and she watched their kids and became a Grandma to them also. Their kids still come by often and Ginger will open the gate so they can come play with my girls. We miss the Kharizi's. They're in my brother Tony's ward now. This is just a picture I took of Liv this morning. She is so cute to me. She is the only of my girls that loves having her hair done. She looks in the mirror after and thinks she's so pretty. Many mornings she comes into my bathroom as I'm putting on makeup and asks me to put some on her. She is for sure a prissy girly girl. I love her!!!

The beginning and the end of the school year.

I thought it would be fun to post pictures of the girls at the beginning and at the end of the school year and see how much they've changed. Here the girls are at the beginning of the year. Haley finished 4th and
Morgan 1st grade this year.
Here they are at the end of the year. My nephew Logan was over all day today. I refer to him as my 4th child because he I get to have him over a lot. It's crazy how fast children can grow and change! I think my girls get prettier every year!!
They always have to do a silly face picture. Too funny!!
This morning, Chris and I put our girls (and Logan) to work around the house. After all, "Saturday is a special day.....it's the day we get ready for Sunday..." Anyway, the kids worked hard and got lots done, So Chris rewarded the kids with a movie. I dropped them off and hit the mall for an hour. ;) This picture is funny because apparently the sun was in their eyes, so they were all squinting or closing their eyes. Oh well, not every picture can be perfect. We had a fun day working as a family. It's nice that the girls are getting older and are capable of doing more.

Haley playing the piano

Haley played the piano in the talent show. I'm surprised that my girls were the only ones at their school to play and instrument in the talent show. I'm lucky to have such pretty and talented daughters!

Morgan playing the piano

Morgan played a few songs in the talent show. She started taking lessons about 6 or 7 months ago. I can't believe how fast she has picked it up. This girl is just so talented and smart.

Haley singing in the school talent show

Haley was a bit nervous, but I think she did a great job. This is not a great video, Olivia kept grabbing my legs and bumping me. I wanted to post it so Haley could watch it and so Kelsey could see.

I live in the city ...right?

Cool gifts!!

I figured that as long as I was at it, I would do a couple more gifts. One of my favorite babysitters is getting married, so the Reynders one is for her bridal shower, and our neighbor is turning 73 this weekend.

These are two of my favorites. I made the Lead me months ago, and my sister Jen made the BE one for me.

Just a note, if any of you want to order some vinyl lettering, Susie's email is susiebowen08@yahoo.com. She is great! She can put together just about anything, and always gets things done super fast for me.

Haley

My Haley Marie earned the Principals Honor Roll again for her strait A's!!!! Yea Haley!!!Haley is the only of my 3 girlies to get my beautiful browns. Morgan and Olivia got Chris's awesome blue eyes. I love this picture of us because it shows our eyes. Though, you can see from the absence of Haley's smile, that she didn't want to take a picture. Sorry hon, my camera goes everywhere with me.
Chris and I are so proud of Haley. We challenged her to get straight A's. It's not that we would be upset if she didn't, but we just knew that she was so capable. She just needed to put in that extra push to achieve it, and we wanted her to feel the satisfaction of working toward something and achieving it. Haley has always scored advanced in the state tests, and after talking to her teachers, we realized that she wasn't getting a B here and there because the work was terribly challenging. She was moving through the work too fast so she could finish and pull out a book. Haley looooves to read. I have pictures of her at barely a year old, sitting and just flipping the pages in a book. We're very grateful that she likes to read so much, but she needed to slow down and take the time to check her work a little more. Now she gets to see the reward of her extra effort. Thank you Haley for working hard and being a good example to your younger sisters!
We love you!!!

Morgan Singing

Morgan not wanting to be left out, is here to sing also. This is one of my favorite primary songs. Haley sang this as a solo at church in September. She was fantastic. All my girlies are such cute singers. Watch out Nicole, Morgan's coming your way in a few years.

Olivia singing

Olivia hears Haley singing all the time so she knows most of the songs. I was goofing off recording Haley this morning, and Olivia wanted a turn. Liv is so darling. She gets so into the song. I love her expressions!! This girl is willing to perform anytime anywhere. Liv is such a fun girl to have around. I'm so lucky to have her as one of my girlies.
